Workshops run April-June

The urbanNOISE Youth Training Program is an after-school initiative that runs every spring in the heart of Rexdale and Jamestown.  The program has recently expanded into Weston Mount Dennis!

 
Every Spring, participants begin working with professional artists in a series of hands-on workshops that celebrate urban culture. As part of their curriculum, they will learn to create a theatrical piece that can include various artistic mediums such as Spoken Word, Krumping, Hip Hop, Beat Boxing, Dub Poetry, Graffiti Arts, Break Dancing and Spinning, among other things. At the end of the sessions, participants will be given the opportunity to present their work to a live audience at the urbanNOISE Festival that runs in September.
